HEROD THE GREAT Tripod Table with Closed Diadem Cross 40 - 4 BC (Tripod 01)
This coin was minted by Herod I, also known as Herod the Great during his reign from 40-4 BC.  This coin has the closed diadem cross on one side and the tripod table on the other side.     Most of Herod the Great's tripod coins were crudely made and usually do not reveal lots of beautiful characteristics.   This coin has very nice contrasting patina and the visible images are clear.
